Workshop Language: English

This orientation will cover Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap WorkSource. Anyone residing in these counties is encouraged to participate.

  • Virtual orientation is held over Zoom, where you will need access to a good internet connection.
  • You will receive an email with a meeting link the day before the orientation.
  • Please note: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to the meeting, you will not be admitted. We cover important information quickly, which you will already miss, so you will need to register for another meeting at a later date.

This session offers information about services available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act: Dislocated Worker and Adult programs. We provide details about eligibility requirements and outline the application process for enrollment into each program.

We will also focus on information intended to help you research training or skill development opportunities and provide information about online resources, job market demand, and funding sources.

On-the-Job Training is a very popular opportunity for employment, and an overview of this service will be provided.

A general summary of unemployment insurance related programs (Commissioner Approved Training and Training Benefits) and requirements is also included in this presentation.

This Workshop is made possible by the support and funding from a U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant. For more detailed information visit www.kitsap.gov…
