February 09 Class Descriptions
New Job Training Course -- From 9 a.m. to noon each day from Tuesday through Friday, the YWCA is offering a 12-week job-training course. Each week features one of these modules: Beginning Internet, Internet as a Tool, Keyboarding and Mouse Skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Writing Skills, Customer Service Skills, Public Speaking, Speaking Skills and Business Math.
The course cycles through the 12 modules continually so you can start with any module. Space is very limited for these classes so reserve your spot for the module at least a week in advance by calling WorkSource Affiliate Downtown Seattle at (206) 436-8600.
WorkSource Downtown Resources and Services
We provide computers with Internet access,
phones, and fax machines for job search purposes. We also
offer Microsoft computer skills training in Word, Excel and
PowerPoint, as well as workshops that provide tips on how
to find employment.
Our Employment Specialists can assist you in writing resumes
and cover letters.
In addition, our office features a learning center that provides
Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, and GED
prep courses.
