On-Line
Job Search
Looking for work on the Internet is an effective way to quickly
learn about numerous job openings and have your resume viewed by
multiple employers. Having an updated resume is a critical part
of on-line job search. A resume outlines your skills and experiences
so an employer can see, at a glance, what you might bring to his
or her organization.
Creating an Effective Resume
If your resume is outdated, or if you have never created a resume
before, you may want to attend a WorkSource workshop on resume writing.
There are several styles of resumes, each with it’s own purpose,
as well as new workforce trends to consider when you begin writing
your resume.
See WorkSource
Workshops for a calendar of free classes available on this and
other job search topics. You’ll find resume workshops listed
under the category “Getting Hired”. You can also access
on-line resources for writing and formatting your resume by visiting--
Posting Your Resume On-Line
After you’ve updated your resume, visit the WorkSource
Resume Center to post your resume on-line. Posting your resume
through WorkSource allows registered employers to view your resume
on-line using the WorkSource Talent Bank Resume Search. It also
allows you to apply for jobs listed by employers through WorkSource.
Should you need help posting your resume, we offer “Computer
Skills” workshops that teach you how it’s done.
Additional links for posting your resume on-line can be found at--
We recommend you review
resume guidelines to ensure your on-line job search is effective
and that employers are able to identify your qualifications.
