Creating an Effective Resume
Having an updated resume is a critical part
of on-line job search. A resume outlines your skills and experiences
so an employer can see, at a glance, what you might bring to his
or her organization.
If your resume is outdated, or if you have never created a resume
before, you may want to attend a WorkSource workshop on resume writing.
There are several styles of resumes, each with it’s own purpose,
as well as new workforce trends to consider when you begin writing
your resume.
See WorkSource
Workshops for a calendar of free classes available on resume writing, interviewing and more. Look in the category “Getting Hired."

Posting Your Resume On-Line
After you’ve updated your resume, visit the WorkSource
Resume Center to post your resume on-line. (You must register and login to use this free service.) Posting your resume
through WorkSource allows registered employers to view your resume
on-line using the WorkSource Talent Bank Resume Search. It also
allows you to apply for jobs listed by employers through WorkSource.
For help posting your resume, come to a WorkSource site for assistance from an employment specialist. We also offer “Computer
Skills” workshops that teach you how it’s done.
