Who We Are
WorkSource Seattle-King County is not one organization, but rather a joint venture of many organizations dedicated to addressing local employment needs, including:
- Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County
- Local and state government
- Community & technical colleges
- Community organizations
Together, these organizations provide WorkSource services to adults, youth, and businesses throughout King County and connect job seekers with employers.
The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County (WDC) is responsible for oversight of WorkSource Seattle-King County and ensuring the highest quality services for job seeker and business customers. The WDC is a nonprofit workforce "think tank" and grant-making organization whose mission is to support a strong economy and the ability of each person to achieve self-sufficiency.
The WDC designates a WorkSource Operator to provide vision and oversight for all local WorkSource site operations and services, according to the guidelines established by the WDC. The Operator is competitively chosen and is currently contracted to King County.
Partners in our WorkSource locations include state and local government agencies, private organizations, and non-profits.
