Description:Training Overview: This training offers participants a foundational understanding of basic computer components and essential functions, including powering a computer on and off.
Windows Operating System Essentials: Participants will gain hands-on experience with the Windows operating system, including:
- Logging into a Windows-operated computer
- Navigating using a mouse and keyboard shortcuts
- Installing, running, and removing software programs
- Saving, converting, printing, and accessing documents and downloads
- Using and accessing flash drives
Internet & Online Navigation: Once comfortable with Windows, participants will learn:
- Setting up an internet connection
- Opening browsers and conducting online searches
- Accessing websites via direct links & search engines
- Navigating web pages efficiently
- Setting up online accounts
- Applying for jobs and finding information or assistance online
- Sending and receiving emails and email attachments
Cybersecurity Basics: To ensure safe and secure computer use, participants will also cover fundamental cybersecurity practices.
