Small Business Assistance & Funding

  • Business Impact NW - A nonprofit Community Development financial institution (CDFI) dedicated to providing coaching, classes, and access to capital. Focusing on women, people of color, immigrants, individuals with low income and the LGBTQ community.

  • City of Seattle - Small Business Programs - Supporting those with barriers with access to capital including those in communities of color, immigrants, and refugees.

  • Small Business Support Liaisons in King County - Connectors serve small businesses, Chamber members and non-members, including those located in unincorporated King County.

  • SCORE - A nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and has been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.

  • Self-Employment Assistance Program - Program that allows unemployed workers to receive unemployment benefits while they train to become self-employed.

  • Small Business Administration (SBA) - Created in 1953, The SBA is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides resources, counseling, capital, and contracting expertise.

  • Ventures - Seattle-based nonprofit providing access to business training, capital, coaching, and hands-on learning opportunities for entrepreneurs. Serving our community with a focus on women, people of color, immigrants, and individuals with low income.

  • WA State Small Business Guidance - Linking entrepreneurs and small businesses to Washington state resources. A small “Business Guide” is available in English, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese.

  • WA State Small Business Liaison Team (SBLT) - Consists of representatives from 27 government agencies with a primary goal to inform the small business community of understanding and complying with the state’s licensing and regulatory requirements. 

  • WA State Dept. of Commerce - Offers a range of small business programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of Washington’s companies, from education and training to business loans, export assistance and crisis planning.

  • African Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest -  The Chamber is committed to promoting black business growth in the Pacific Northwest through advocacy, education, and the facilitation of networking opportunities.

  • Ethnic Chambers in Washington State  - Formed to give a unified voice across ethnic communities and to promote the development and sharing of activities among ethnic chamber of commerce organizations. Education, health, and business are their top three focuses, but they cover a wide range of concerns.
